I had an old green office chair where I used to sit and write my songs. I’d sit on that chair, get a headphone mix of my vocals and guitar, then start writing lyrics to whatever I came up with. Last I saw that old chair was leaning up against a maple tree outside the chicken coop! Time moves on. It was a dream of mine to release this album in order to pay tribute to places and people, and some important history, of what it means to be Canadian. High Toned Years is the story of my life, and added bonus song, is officially in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
